A clear clothing project file gives your supplier the information needed to review the design and ask useful questions. This checklist is a starting point for a T-shirt or hoodie inquiry. It is not an automatic production approval, and your supplier may request additional details for the selected style.
Give the project a clear identity
Include your brand, contact details, style reference, date and file version. Put the same style reference on drawings, measurements and artwork. State the product category and which pieces are included. If the reference photograph shows an outfit, identify whether your request is for the top alone or multiple separate garments.
Show the design and important details
Provide front and back views with notes for the features you want. Add detail views where a normal drawing does not explain the construction, placement or finish. Mark reference images as inspiration or instructions so your supplier can distinguish the two.
For T-shirts, identify the intended neckline, sleeves, silhouette and decoration. For hoodies, identify the hood, opening, pockets, cuffs and hem that apply to the design. Do not leave conflicting instructions in different files; choose the current version and mark older versions as superseded.
Include measurements and material requirements
Provide a garment measurement chart for the intended size range and explain the measuring method. State the sample size, units and any agreed tolerances. If you only have a reference garment or a fit preference, identify what is still undecided and ask what additional work is required.
List fabric composition, weight and color references when known. Identify lining, ribbing, closures, labels and other materials separately. When a material is undecided, request options rather than filling the field with an assumed specification.
Reference materials and garment measurements
If you are still choosing a fabric, browse our fabric reference catalog and include the selected fabric model in your project file. Confirm the current material, color reference and suitability for your garment before approval; a catalog listing does not establish stock availability.
For an example of a garment specification, see LIS-2606S, a 460 GSM, 100% cotton hoodie and shorts set. Its supplied S-XL chart uses inches and flat chest and waist widths. Use your own approved measurements for your design, and identify whether your order is for a hoodie, shorts or both.
Provide artwork and packaging instructions
Supply the files for your logo or decoration, together with dimensions, placement and colors. List woven labels, care labels, hangtags and packaging requirements. Ask which files and confirmations the supplier needs for the chosen process. Review the actual sample or proof before assuming that a screen image represents the finished result.
Attach quantities and review status
Yiman’s MOQ is 50 pieces per style and color, with mixed sizes allowed. Attach the quantity breakdown for each style, color and size. Read our quote request checklist for the accompanying delivery and quotation information.

Send the latest version for review
Before sending the file, check that the drawings, measurements and artwork describe the same design. Include a short change summary when updating the file and ask the supplier to acknowledge the current version. Keep quotation, sample review and final production approval as clearly identified steps.
Send your T-shirt or hoodie project to Yiman. We will review the information supplied and confirm the details needed for your quotation and sample request.
